Software testing tool company Katalon Inc. has recently raised $27 million in series A funding led by Elephant Venture Capital, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Its main product is Katalon Studio, an IDE to generate automated tests easily.
This investment will help support the growth of the leadership team, accelerate the delivery of Katalon’s roadmap and expand go-to-market capabilities. The round was led by Elephant Venture Capital, a Boston-based venture capital firm focused on enterprise software, consumer internet and mobile markets. Katalon is a spinoff company of KMS Technology, an Atlanta-based provider of offshore software development, testing and consulting.
Katalon has also recently launched the TestOps test orchestration platform to streamline the continuous testing process and is working on features that will help make testing more efficient by leveraging AI capabilities. Katalon has about 100 employees, about 100,000 clients worldwide and raised already $1.1 million in December 2020 according to another SEC filing.
